This story has a large cast of characters many of which have twins in the other world that the reader needs to keep track of. That is not so unusual for epic fantasy stories but when some characters exchange places and all the twins start speaking as one person it can get a little tricky at times keeping them straight. I could see where making a llist of characters and their corresponding twin might have been helpful. I really liked the story though.

This was a freebie so I had no idea if I would like it. I was a little confused at times because there are so many characters that are brought into separate story lines that eventually tie back together. If you've read the Wheel of Time series you know how a story can jump around to follow different characters experiences. Like Wheel of Time these are long books so not a short read (which is a good thing in my book. So many of the free books get you hooked to buy many additional books to get the whole story. I will be interested in this author's other series.

I had a difficult time getting into the first book of the trilogy. It was interesting but didn't completely grip me until the climax of the first book. After that, I couldn't put this series down. Fascinating interplay between deeply imagined worlds and characters, and intriguing plots that weave together beautifully and keep you guessing. The main characters have many layers and grow and change with time, blurring the lines between right and wrong and who is good and who is evil. Well worth the slow beginnings and I highly recommend sticking with it to the end.

Everything from the concept to the characters to the plot...amazing. I am an avid reader/writer, and it's very hard to find "a new story." Everything has been done. It's rare to find something that blows my mind. This blew my mind. I love it and have recommended it to everyone I know. Currently buying the hardbacks so they can be displayed in my library with the very few titles I purchase as hard copies these days.

One of the best fantasy series I have read in a couple years. I love his Black Ocean SF series, so I decide to give his fantasy series a try. It is almost as good. His knows how to keep you guess and very imagative worlds. The best part, he knows how to put a little humor or lightness in the story. A lot of fantasys are so downbeat, I like to have a little fun while reading. The story goes along with a quick pace. You won't be bored with a lot of details. Just a great fantasy adventure.

Rather confusing premise, but once I got that down, it was just a slow slog to get through the book. I would have given up, but someone whose opinion I respect told me that it was good, so I thought the ending might redeem it. Alas, it did not.

I am still reading, I think I just started the 3rd book (but reading on my iPad there are no breaks between books). I have looked at other reviews to see if anyone else is bugged by the author's use of befall - befallen, befell, etc. It's as though he looked in a thesaurus and found a synonym for occur or happen, and liked it so much that's the only one he uses. I realize it's an old english type word, but he could use transpire or reword the sentence to not use this word so often. I wish the search function worked for this book, because I'd love to count them. By about 1/3rd of the way into the 2nd book I started to feel like my eyeballs were getting scratched every time that word appeared. That being said, I am enjoying the story, but very difficult to keep track of who's who and where. You almost need to keep a notebook: Denrik = Jinzan; Soria = Juliana; etc etc Especially now, as it seems like EVERYONE has a twin. Even though I've made it through 70% of the book, I still don't feel like I own the geography, politics or personalities.

I really liked this. Typos and wrong words used need to be cleaned up. Seemed like it got worse as the trilogy went along. Although it seemed to run a bit long, I really had a hard time putting this trilogy down. Really clever idea, extensive plot. So many characters in two worlds, that I lost track sometimes of who was who.Overall, one of the best sets I've read in years.

He used the system of evil to prevent more evil.What an inspiring story! God help me if I ever face such a situation. I pray that I would have the passion for justice Schindler had, and the willingness to act, even when I know I am placing myself in danger. I KNOW that God has received this hero into His kingdom.

This story is truly astonishing. Oscar Schindler's famed list saved more than 1000 Jews from sure death in the Nazi killing machine. A German industrialist, Nazi party member and conspicuous socialite with extensive and powerful contacts, a womanizer and drinker who was not affected by riotous consumption, a savvy black marketeer and master liar and bluffer, he bankrupted himself by protecting "his" Jews from inevitable death in plain sight of the SS and murderous Nazi beauacracy. He was the most prolific savior of endangered Jewish lives during the entirety of the war. The question of WHY is never satisfactorily answered, except that under his veneer of suave worldliness beat a heart of compassion for suffering human beings. A man of action, his compassion and courage did not go to waste. After the war, his Jews became his family and cared for him financially and emotionally during tumultuous years of serial business failures. He was lionized in Israel as righteous among the Gentiles, received numerous awards, and spent his time between Israel and Germany. His rescue efforts resulted in the births of 15000 additional human beings who otherwise would not exist. He was buried in Israel with the highest possible honor. The most improbable of rescuers (he was denied entry into the US because of his Nazi party membership), a man who could have been expected to collaborate in atrocities as did other German industrialists, his motives remain enigmatic, even to those whom he saved. It is enough to say that this great man channeled his enormous energies into salvation at great personal risk, making him truly righteous among the Gentiles in the blackest time in human history

I loved the movie that Steven Spielberg did years ago with Liam Nesson as Schindler and realized I never read the book the movie was based on. And while needless to say books into movies never go well this one did. I really thought the book was well done and not one of those boring old history like texts and actually finished it a weekend because I couldn't put it down. I am glad Keneally wrote about Schindler becasue the world needs to know that while nobody is prefect even the least likely of people can become heros. This book needs to stay in print and maybe even one that is read in schools because people need to learn about the Holecust and the average people that helped save others during a really dark time in human history so that we do not reapeat the same mistakes as our fore fathers. Oscar Schindler and this book gives me hope in humanity.

Another Ron Rhodes masterpieces. Ron Rhodes is a fantastic Bible Scholar who I've listened to on KTIS radio two hours a month on "Live the Promise". He's an exceptional scholar and his books are filled with information and answers.

A well written book aimed at Christians. The title intrigued me, so I bought the book.I'm sorry, but the objections the author talks about are not really points atheists bring up. The arguments presented wouldn't change an atheist's or skeptics mind either.Other reviews go more into specific examples of this.The book is written to make the reader feel armed with intelligent arguments in favor of Christian beliefs. I think it serves that purpose well.But talk to a real critical thinker? Every argument presented is easily picked apart. I will say this though, in Bible studies? The author has some insights to add.But trying to convince a scientist that his science is wrong? These aren't the methods. And no critical thinker I know would bring up the "Objections" that the author answers. Lots of straw man objections that are easily overcome using no logic at all.But for the aright audience? Convincing.

I am reading through this book at this time. So far its a well presented defense of Christianity and its major doctrines. The book contains charts which are laid out well in the chapters they are used. Any serious atheist/skeptic should give this one a read, and those in dialogue with them should consult this book for its useful question/objection and answer format reads well for dialogues. The only major gripe I have (as I do with all Ron Rhodes books) is the lack of a helpful topical scripture and index which would make looking up terms much easier. Contrary to the views of some people these are still used in books despite e-books. Many of John MacArthur's books for example contain scripture and topical indexes. Also I expect most of the negative reviews to be from atheists/skeptics.

This is not a book of Christian apologetics at all. Rather, it is a basic and at all not comprehensive compendium of popular Christian thought. Rhodes has really no arguments to defend his points. Like many apologetic Christians (and atheists, for that matter) he limits himself to stating the points in a way you would hear at Bible study groups or in Sunday school. The few justifications he has, for example against evolution, are a joke, along the lines of the old creationist mantra, "what good is half a wing?"I bought this book expecting some sort of philosophical or even theological discourse on "the objections of atheists, agnostics, and skeptics," but it's merely a propagandistic book of Christian-like indoctrination (complete with invitation to prayer and 1-800 prayer hotline... yeah) that has no bearing whatsoever on the constructive dialogue that some Christians and some atheists/agnostics/skeptics wish to start with each other.I recommend, instead, "Mere Christianity" and "A Layman's Introduction to Christian Thought." I disagree with the content of both, but they are at least sound and very well thought-out and written.

Rhodes answers objections made by non-believers. He is easily understood; makes sure his point gets across. Important and outstanding work; there should be no excuse; he gives us strong, undeniable evidence for the existence of God, Savior, Holy Spirit, and the inerrancy of the bible. Ron quotes a variety of individuals who were influential throughout time. Apologetics: gaining the faith and strength one needs to share the truth. Excellent bibliography for further study recourses.Ron explains how similar atheists, agnostics, and skeptics really are: the origins, history, beliefs, religion of fear, the illogical position. Agnostics: cant know or not sure; unknowable; if he believes this He can not entirely be unknowable. Besides being funny, it's written with refreshing humility / sincerity / self-awareness. Would recommend this book to anyone interested in travel / new experiences. Actually, would recommend it to anyone.

What a fun book! Murray's writing is so entertaining, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Her stories about her travels are humorous, poignant, observant, and informative. But mostly they are just great fun to read. Frequently, I laughed out loud, which caused my husband to keep asking, "What are you reading?" And then I would have to read him a quote from the book. In addition to being a writer, Murray is a stand-up comedian. If she shows up near where I live, I will definitely go to see her perform. Her writing is smart, clever, amusing, and altogether great entertainment.

This book was great! I really enjoyed her writing style and it was a great traveler's journey through many (if not all) of the former states of the U.S.S.R. It made me want to visit one or two (but not ALL) 🙄I really liked how she talked about how things worked in the various countries without going off on a tangent about politics. In fact, I REALLY liked how (mostly) apolitical it was!I will definitely recommend it to my book club, many of who are world travelers!😎

This is one of my favorite books I’ve read in a long time. Audrey takes us along for her travels through the former Soviet Union, and it’s hilarious, informed, and thoughtfulness. The writing is both sharply perceptive and laugh-out-loud funny. Most of all, Audrey writes about being a young woman in the 21st century world in a way I’ve never seen before, and I strongly identify with. You don’t need to be a young woman abroad to enjoy this book. First of all, this book made me laugh out loud from start to finish. The author has a lot of great stories from her trip, and she knows how to tell them with humor. You can tell she’d be a great person to have over for dinner. I’m not usually much of a travelogue reader, but she struck the right balance between providing history/background of the counties she visited and narrating her own adventures. I learned a lot and I was never bored. With Russia so much in the news lately, it was interesting to learn more about the people who live there.

Elana Freehand has done a brilliant job of putting all the new & old information on chemtrails, HAARP, etc. together in one easy to understand book. Thank you Elana! I recently moved from living seven years in New Zealand to the Olympic Peninsula in WA to find that the US Navy plans to use the Olympic Peninsula to practice electronic warfare. We had chemtrails in NZ, but when I began to see the planes spraying these toxic trails across the skies from my window, I became alarmed and decided to take photos every day. I realized that the undiagnosable chronic illnesses I carried in my body as aluminum, barium and other particulates, began nine years back in Charlottesville VA where the heavily chemtrailed skies often resembled plowed snow.Now the monopoly media is attempting to sell the public geoengineering to save us from global warming and methane release. Geoengineering has been going on for sixty years! How many years have you been seeing chemtrails in the sky above? Geoengineering is now being sold to us by the monopoly media as the 'new' untried savior of our warming planet. Yes, the planet is warming, however many scientists are now coming forward and saying that geoengineering is making the warming worse. Why are they terraforming our planet? Here are a few of the toxic consequences of the metals we are breathing that are dropped from above from her book: Aluminum: a neurotoxin, aluminum blocks nerve impulses, dulls thinking and concentration, can produce dizziness, memory loss, impaired coordination, involuntary tremors, speech disorders, loss of balance and energy; airborne nano-aluminum slips up the olfactory neural tracts into the brain, passing through the brain-blood barrier and cells membranes to disrupt mitochondria; can lead to dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Lou Gehrig's diseases; 10-20 MEGATONS per year of aerosolized aluminum will be sprayed into the atmosphere [geoengineer David Keith]; along with barium, aluminum is one of the silent producers of global warming. Barium: suppresses the immune system because it is rapidly absorbed through the gastrointestinal tracts and deposited in the muscles, lungs, and bone; barium toxicity can cause difficulties in breathing, stomach & chest pains, increased blood pressure, heart arrhythmia, stomach irritation, brain swelling, muscle weakness and damage to liver, kidneys, heart and spleen; barium is 20 times worse than the worst organic chlorinated pesticide. Morgellons: The research on Morgellons has been done by the courageous scientist Clif Carnicom — who says, "The Morgellons condition may have a much broader basis and distribution than we might like to admit or know." This is a massive red flag that should trigger alarm bells everywhere. Some time ago I personally spoke to a NOAA scientist that said 'we all know it is going on (climate engineering) but we are afraid to speak out, we have no first amendment protection'. The new 'gag order' is a further muzzling of the NWS and NOAA. It is likely there are many in the National Weather Service and NOAA that have had enough of lying about what is really going on in our skies." [Dane Wigington] The Washington Post recently reported that scientists and top officials from NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have been refusing to comply with a subpoena for emails from the Chairman of the House, the Committee that oversees NOAA, which is said to have 'obstructed' and even attempted to shape and direct the committee's over-site role. What is NOAA hiding, and why do they feel entitled to do so?* Global aerosol spraying programs for the purpose of climate modification are being carried out from jet aircraft all over the planet each and every day. These programs are known as stratospheric aerosol geoengineeing (SAG) and solar radiation management (SRM). Every breath we take contains microscopic toxic nano particulates. Such small particles are extremely damaging to the respiratory and neurological systems and cannot be filtered out with any readily available filtration mechanisms. Nano particles are so small that they penetrate straight through the lung lining and go straight into the blood stream. There, they can adhere to cell receptors like a plaque, slowly but surely damaging our health and bodily functions such as the immune system. The particulates are also a platform on which fungal proliferation runs wild. Recent studies state 70%+ of all current plant and animal extinction is now caused by fungal infection.* The protective layers of the atmosphere, most specifically the ozone layer and the ionosphere, are being shredded by the aircraft sprayed  aerosol clouds. Climate engineering also changes wind currents, this in turn alters ocean currents, and now there is warm water flowing into the Arctic region from the Atlantic ocean. Dozens of naval EA-18G Growler supersonic jet warplanes will fly as low as 1,200 feet above the ground in some areas in order to conduct war games with 14 mobile towers on the ground in national forests. Medical doctors, scientific reports and even the Navy's own documents show that enough electromagnetic radiation will be emitted to be capable of damaging human eye tissue, causing breast cancer, causing childhood leukemia and damaging human fetuses, let alone impacting wildlife in the area. When we do, we see the most insidious program ever perpetrated upon an unsuspecting humanity by its ruling psychopaths. Read Ms. Freeland’s book to educate yourself on what’s happening and then do whatever you can to resist.

Everyone needs to read this book. I live in South Texas and I only have to look up and see the chemtrails coming out of the back of the planes and what the sky looks like when they are finished. No more beautiful blue skies here. Just silvery skies with weird streaks of white that are obviously not clouds. I am almost 70 and I know the difference between contrails and chemtrails.

I live close to Robbins AFB an sometimes itlooks like there has been hundreds of tick-tac-doe games in the sky overhead. It usually starts before sunrise and the stuff stays there for several hours, feathering out over time. Then once in a while I will see a contrail which just follows the plane and dissipates very quickly. Everybody needs to read this book and get mad as hell and do something about it. Get your head out of your a.... people. Your health and very life depend on it. Chemtrails are real and they are affecting our air quality, food quality and our weather. Read up and become informed. This is not a theory, but it is a conspiracy and it is not designed to help you in any way. Wake up, wake up, wake up!!!!!

I'm a dissertation editor, and this is the book I turn to almost every time when the task before me is more along the lines of development than editing. It's also the book I recommend when students come to me at the beginning of the dissertation process. The content is absolutely spot on and very accessible. Cone and Foster tick all the boxes. If you're debating between the various books on this topic, you won't go wrong with this one. Especially suited for, as the cover states, psychology and related fields. If you're a student at the beginning of the dissertation process, read this book. If you're in the middle of the process and stuck, read this book.

I am currently in a PhD program and this book is a great step by step for how to get started. The helpful tips have definitely helped me as a student returning after a while out of academia. Adjusting to academic writing has been such aa struggle but this guide makes the process much easier. It has also been helpful when I feel that I have hit a writers block.

needed this for school, bought the kindle version and instantly downloaded it to start reading. one note though the PC kindle software seems to be glitchy because when I buy books and try to download/open them up I keep getting an error that says "REMOVE BOOK FROM DEVICE AND TRY AGAIN" no matter how many times I try that it does not work, the solution to that is to de register the software and then reregister it. I HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY TIME I BUY/DOWNLOAD A KINDLE BOOK ON AMAZON. That almost stopped me from buying this book in kindle format. the books gets 5 stars, but the kindle PC software gets -5 stars.
