Book has typos and was not helpful to me. Tinittus can't always be cured either. I wish I would have tried something else.

I am amazed that anyone got anything out of this book. The vocabulary and spelling were atrocious. I read the whole book in 5 minutes, and I think my blood pressure went up just from thinking how stupid I was for buying it. Needless to say, I don't recommend it.

Reading the biography, I'm in amazement the author wrote this book in jr high, that's some real talent and maturity. The bittersweet moment when the book ends has you feeling eager like a fiend waiting for the next hit....had to get my fix ..it's off to "Let Love 2"

This year new book "Let Love" by Kellan Esperance is the best book I have ever read since my early high school years. I read this book in less than 24 hours. I was surprise how emotional I was during this book, I mean I was sad, happy, laughed and cried. After reading the book I was itching for part two, but most of all more I wanted to read more of this talented authors work. In Let Love I felt like I was each character and in many ways I sympathize with their lost, pain, frustration and throughout the book I couldn't help but cheer and pray for their growth, and happy ending. Miss Esperance's book "Let Love" deserve to be shelved with other urban authors such as Zane, Sister Souljah, R.D. Ronald, Omar Tyree, Wahida Clark etc, And In My Opinion I guarantee that Miss Esperance book "Let Love" and Future book would give these other authors a run for their money or even better blow them out the competition.-Manoucheka Luma

With my busy lifestyle, it is hard to read and finish a good book. I was done with this book in no time. I was hooked to the characters and their stories as i read read each juicy page. Definitely recommended to anyone with a pair of eyes!!

Loved this book... Very well written! David and Veronica kept my attention throughout the entire story. I was rooting for them from the very beginning. I really hope that the author does a spin off with those two characters! The love between them was so touching. Trina's went through some shit but i was glad when things got better for her. Overall I thought this was a great read! Really hope the authordoes a spin off

Urban books is something I enjoy reading, and Let Love was one of those books that just caught my attention from beginning to end. I enjoyed it so much that I literally started up late nights and actually felt a connection with each person in the book. I'm so looking forward to pt2. CANT WAIT!!!!! I recommend this to all age groups, because we all can relate to a particle character.

I liked everything about this book..I recommend this book to people who think love is not alive and that every one is the same when it comes to relationships..I chose this rating because it's very hard to write a book and not become repetitive in your story it was just perfect!

OMG is all I have to say. The story line was so life like & brought me back to my younger yrs. the tragedies were so real as well as the life events from the bff's to the abortion. Whew... Girl I'm glad you revamped the book & put it out there for readers like myself.

Liza Wieland is an American novelist, short story writer, and poet who has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Christopher Isherwood Foundation, and the North Carolina Arts Council. She is the 2017 winner of the Robert Penn Warren Award for Fiction from the Fellowship of Southern Writers. Her novel A Watch of Nightingales won the 2008 Michigan Literary Fiction Award, and her most recent novel, Land of Enchantment, was a longlist finalist for the 2016 Chautauqua Prize. She lives near Oriental, North Carolina, and teaches at East Carolina University.

I enjoyed this author's Secret Lives of the First Ladies book and bought this for a friend who already knew a lot about the civil war. I expected he would enjoy all the little behind the scenes types of things that the first ladies book had included. Instead, this was more of a chronology of the war, just done person by person. The little anecdotes on the cover that inspired me to buy the book were some of the only interesting tidbits in the book. The person I bought it for already knew all about the battles and commanders and this was just all review to him with very few interesting new facts. I can't imagine who the audience for this book is because it's so little of what was promised by the title and cover and goes more to a historian's interest although surely they have already read other books on the subject. My friend was nice about it but I felt bad that the book didn't deliver what I'd thought it would and I feel like he wasted his time reading this just to make me happy.

...I might have come to love history as a subject a lot sooner. This book is just a series of biographical sketches of the main players on both sides of the American Civil War, but truly, it's one of the best history books I've read on the topic. O'Brien's prose has such a very light touch that it sometimes reads like something out of stand-up comedy act, but even though some passages are very funny, O'Brien seems to get his facts straight, and it would take someone better versed than I to find fault with his scholarship (and I've read a fair bit in the last ten years). Get it and enjoy!

The book covered a lot about the major participants of the Civil War. The book explained some rarely known facts in the Civil War. Excellent read.

History Buffs should indulge in this reading. Chapters are very short, yet informative. Author's style is clear, but yet witty.

An interesting and humerus read on Civil War personalities that only makes them more human and adds to their color as leaders in our nations greatest stuggle.

Great book full of facts. Several in the family have passed this book around and all have enjoyed it. Would highly recommend.
